The June special issue of the European Journal of Transport and Infrastructure Research (EJTIR) contains contributions of the TTRA European Chapter Conference “Transport and Tourism: Challenges, Issues and Conflicts” held in Rotterdam and Breda, The Netherlands from 22 to 24 April 2009, which was co-organised by NHTV.
Martin Landré and Paul Peeters wrote the editorial, while Eke Eijgelaar (all CSTT) contributed an article on carbon offsetting in tourism. The issue also contains articles on low-cost carriers (by Sven Gross and Michael Lück), approaches towards a more sustainable travel industry (by Derek Robbins, John Brackstone and Janet Dickinson) and destination branding (by Sanja Vujicic and Mikael Wickelgren).
