Wednesday, January 14, 2015

Project CARMATOP – Carbon Management for Tour Operators – has been awarded the Green Feather 2015 for best Dutch sustainable tourism initiative, at the Dutch Tourism Expo (Vakantiebeurs).

The award confirms the importance of this project and its carbon calculator for the Dutch tourism sector. Paul Peeters of NHTV’s Centre for Sustainable Tourism and Transport, project leader, received the award from Martine de Knoop, initiator of the Green Feather awards and commercial director of Travmagazine. Many of the project’s participating partners joined Paul on stage to receive their award (see photo).
